Dankwoord Theoloog des Vaderlands 2019

Vanavond ben ik benoemd tot Theoloog des Vaderlands. Ik wil iedereen hierbij bedanken. Deze benoeming is niet alleen voor mij, maar voor alle migranten, migranten christenen. Ik dank al mijn oude en nieuwe vriendinnen en vrienden, die al jaren met mij zijn. Ook wil ik mijn gemeente JCF bedanken, al mijn kerkfamilie. Dank aan mijn studenten en collega's aan Foundation Academy of Amsterdam, jullie zijn een inspiratie. Dank Samen Kerk In Nederland, voor jullie inzet en inspiratie voor mij en de migranten kerken, voor een mooie postgraduate opleiding aan de Vrije Universiteit, Center for Theology of Migration, aan de Faculteit Religie en Theologie . De collega's van de Faculteit Religie en Theologie zijn fantastisch en het is een eer dat ik met ze mag werken. Enorme dank aan Pentecostal Council of Churches in Amsterdam zuid-oost. Jullie zijn bron van inspiratie en hardwerkende voorgangers in de Bijlmer en verder. Ook mijn dank voor de juries die het mogelijk hebben gemaakt voor mijn benoeming. Tenslotte, mijn grote dank aan Jezus mijn aller grootste bron van inspiratie en drijfveer.

Tonight I have been awarded the title Theologian of the Fatherland. (Theologian of the Netherlands). I want to thank everyone for this. This appointment is not only for me but for all migrants, migrant Christians. I thank my old and new friends, who have been with me for years. I also want to thank my congregation JCF churches worldwide. Thanks to my students and colleagues at the Foundation Academy of Amsterdam, you are an inspiration. Thanks to Samen Kerk In the Netherlands, for your dedication and inspiration for me and for the migrant churches, for a nice postgraduate course at the Center for Theology of Migration, at the Faculty of Religion and Theology of the Vrije Universiteit. The colleagues from the Faculty of Religion and Theology are fantastic and it is an honor that I can work with them. Huge thanks to the Pentecostal Council of Churches in Amsterdam southeast. You are a source of inspiration and hard-working pastors in the Bijlmer and beyond. Thank you also for the juries that made it possible for my appointment. Finally, my big thanks to Jesus, my greatest source of inspiration and motivation.
